- בוקינוסcorr. בּוּקִינֹות (or בּוּקִינָס) f. pl. (bucina, βυκάνη) bucinæ, horns used in the Roman camps to proclaim the watches of the day and the night. Cant. R. to I, 12 he appointed over them (read:) קלאנין בב׳ ושופר (v. Yalk. Cant. 98 3) criers with bucinæ and Shofar. Lev. R. s. 29; Pesik. Baḥod. p. 152a>; Yalk. Lev. 645; Num. 782; Ps. 840 (corr. acc.).
